Policy

Reschedule & Deposits

We understand that life happens. If you need to reschedule your appointment please do so with at least 48 hours notice. If you give us AT LEAST 48 hours notice, I will honor your deposit and give you new dates to choose from. Each appointment is allowed a maximum of 2 reschedules. After two reschedules, your original deposit will be forfeited and you will need to submit another to reserve a future spot in my books. If notice is given within 48 hours of your appointment, you will lose your deposit and will need to pay another one to get back on the schedule. All deposits are non-refundable.

Cancellation

If you need to cancel your appointment please give as much notice as possible so I can try to fill your time slot. By cancelling, you forfeit your deposit (it’s taken as a scheduling and drawing fee). If you would like to reschedule, we can honor your deposit towards your next session. If cancelling under 48 yours you will put down another deposit to reschedule a tattoo in the future.

No Call No Show

If you do not give a cancellation notice & do not show up for your appointment, you will lose your deposit AND will not be taken as a client in the future.

Zero Hate

I have a zero-tolerance hate policy. Service may be refused at any time due to poor behavior, including (but not limited to): overt racism, homophobia/transphobia, disability intolerance, etc.

Displaying conspicuous signs of intoxication qualifies as poor behavior & will result in a refusal of service.

BIPOC Discount

Cozi Tattoos offers a discounted hourly rate for BIPOC (black, indigenous, people of color) and mixed race individuals. This policy aims to decenter whiteness as the norm in an industry that often favors white individuals. This policy is a small way that I can help make the idea of reparations normalized in my business.

Why a BIPOC discount?

  • BIPOC folks have historically been and still are in many ways denied the benefits of their labor in this country

  • The system we are currently working within has built a system that favors whiteness in every way. From housing, educational jobs, and legal rights.

  • The wealth and world position that the United States has is directly based on a history of slavery, stealing land, and exploiting People of Color worldwide and on this continent

  • POC often have less intergenerational wealth

  • Even as a small, solo-led business, I have more access to resources because of my position of identity privilege

NOTE: Because racial identity can be complex, I will not gatekeep around how you define yourself and I will not assume your race based off of the way you look. It is up to the client to request the BIPOC discount.
